DARSHAN DEDICATE AWARD TO VILLAINS
Posted date: 01 Sun, Mar 2015 – 05:03:38 PM

The challenging star Darshan receiving the first Karnataka State award for best acting for superbly made ‘Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna’ has dedicated the award to ‘Toogudeepa Srinivas, Tiger Prabhakar, Shakthi Prasad, Dinesh, Sundarakrishna Urs, Sudhir, Musuri Krishnamurthy’. ‘Nanu Ashtu Yogya Nata Alla’. So I give it to former villains of Kannada cinema stated Darshan.

Dayavittu, Dayavittu and Dayavittu I would request media not to draw any inferences. I request Karnataka government to declare an award for villains.  ‘Nalku Ode Tindrene villain and one becomes hero’. The villains I have mentioned have acted in 300 to 400 films in Kannada.

My kind of films do not fetch me awards. For this award the work of Anand Appugol, Director Naganna, support of Srinivasamurthy, Ramesh Bhat, cameraman Ramesh Babu counts a lot.

AWARD TO VILLAIN – ROSHAN BAIG

After hearing the speech of challenging star Darshan at Mysooru on the occasion of two years Karnataka State film awards at Maharaja grounds the Karnataka information minister Roshan Baig took spot decision and announced award for Villain in the state award list from next year.

This was announced by Director of Information NR Vishukumar soon after Darshan speech.

This is debatable as the award for ‘Villain’ would result in indirectly supporting ‘Crime’ that is part and parcel of a ‘Villain’.
